Baptism of Lucas | Christ the King Greenmeadows
Lately, I’ve been serving clients who are flying in for the holidays, to be reunited with their Philippine-based family members. This to me, makes my work even more meaningful because I get to collect and preserve precious moments for families who will also be creating new roots, abroad. They could have had the baptism ceremony held at their new home town (abroad), but they particularly chose to back to share the journey with their parents and loved ones. Such Time Travelers! 🙂 Meet Lucas! I too am part of a generation, who has cousins who are now residing abroad. Thanks to social media platforms, we still get to stay in…

Pili’s Baptismal Day | Mt. Carmel Shrine
It was raining so hard in Manila during the week of this photoshoot. But, by God’s grace the baptism of Pili pushed through and all of us attendees got showered with the warmth of friends and family members coming together to celebrate. The baptism was held at Mt. Carmel Shrine in New Manila, at 9AM. Parents Pam and Miguel invited their best friends to become the God Parents of Pili. Big brother Manu was also celebrating his birthday, and for the reception, it was a super-fun double celebration ( I this reserved for another post, coming soon!). Even if it rained, the plants around the baptistry made our occasion even…

5 Tips for Intimate Baptism Preparations
Social events has been reopening in the country, and households are once again including face-to-face (F2F) celebrations as part of their regular bonding activities. These days, if you are not part of the celebrant’s side, you are probably, a guest! In either case, it’s a joy to be reunited with loved ones. When the revered triad of time, health and responsibilities fall neatly on a wide open plate, my goodness! Please do take a bite by saying yes to invitations (unless of course you are introverting to recharge)! You might not realize that loneliness waved hello, until you get out of your cave and start seeing your people again! Warm…

Chapters at Home with Bea | DIY Celebration
As God’s blessings continue to pour out in the lives of families inside a pandemic, one way to remain grateful is to accept the situation, trust that God has a plan, and continue to live a grateful life. For Irvin and Tina who have been blessed with three children putting God first is really a non-negotiable. We celebrated their daughter’s baptism at the Presentation of the Child Jesus Parish Church, followed by lunch at home with their family members who couldn’t attend the ceremony. A “Baptizoom” link was also provided for the friends who wanted to celebrate this milestone with Team Domingo. This event is made extra special because of…

Bea’s Baptism | Presentation of the Child Jesus Parish Church
God is truly a way maker and He doesn’t hesitate showering His children with blessings. He is faithful and His love does endure forever. The presentation in the temple is… the 4th JOYFUL mystery, in the rosary. And whenever I encounter this mystery, I feel like work is not just work, but a participation in the life of Jesus, specifically — the Child Jesus. These days, family events and celebrations may seem smaller than what used to be small. And baptisms are not spared from this “simplification”. But then again, we are all reminded that, when it comes to connecting with our Father God, the only essential is… time. Meet…

Niña’s Baptism | Christ the King Green Meadows
HOPE. If there’s one thing that I truly appreciate about shooting in this season, it is the presence of hope and joy in the hearts of families. Many of us have been made to stay at home for safety purposes, and well to save a life! But if we change our lenses for a little bit to focus on other angles of life in 2020, we will find life-giving moments. — Moments to be grateful for, moments to remember that blessings abound because the Lord is good. Just like welcoming our newest “tiny” friend, Niña, to the Christian world. 😉 Cara and Mike, we’ve met in a previous chapter (…

Olivia’s Baptism | Mt. Carmel, Quezon City
Our family is God's first gift to us. This is a message that I always get reminded of whenever I shoot events like baptismal ceremonies. I enter the church premises with my gear on hand and "work-to-do" but I also believe that my own Father, God, is happy to see me come home to him whenever I get to serve in His house.Â

Talia’s Baptism Reception | Happy Garden Cafe
Because there is always something to be thankful for, the family has plenty of reasons to come together and celebrate! Talia’s Baptism was followed by an intimate party held at Happy Garden Cafe ( Jupiter Street).  The sweets buffet and stage setup was done by the amazing Angie Metin. 🙂 I suggest that you scroll down slowly so that you can savor every treat she has put together for your super cute celebrant. I was also given a plant after the event – Thank You Reyes Fam! – ( Proud to say that I’ve managed to keep it alive as of this writing – woohoo for me!). It’s so cool…

Welcome to the Christian World Luis | Santuario de San Antonio Baptism
Luis is one of the super-smiley kids who are always hopping around on my newsfeed. He came into the world last year, and ever since then, Mom Debbie has been so generous in sharing her moments with Luis and Dad Enrik. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one delighted by this bundle of joy. But I do feel quite lucky to be able to celebrate more milestones with their family. For his baptism, we went back to the same church where Enrik and Debbie got married – Santuario de San Antonio. With the many couples whose weddings we’ve photographed in the same place over the last 5 years, I…

Rafa Love! | A Tennis Inspired Christening Party at Santuario de San Antonio
During their wedding, Irvin and Tina asked the Lord to bless their relationship in front of their family and the very best of their friends. The same people were witnesses to how they grew together as a couple in their community – Singles for Christ. As they celebrate new milestones together, they come before the Lord again to welcome their son Rafa ( short for Rafael Enrique) to the Christian world. Both Baptism and Reception were held at the majestic Santuario de San Antonio ( McKinley Rd). They picked a tennis inspired theme. Along with motivational quotes placed on frames as accents at the dessert table, bible verses were also…
