From Baguio With Love | Minesview Park, Baguio City
When people ask me what kind of photographer I am, I usually just say, “I shoot people for a living”. Of course, this is followed by a quick explanation that what I really meant was that I photographed events, and that I also do portraits for personal and commercial use. Simple and direct. No fuss. It’s a service, artfully done. Or well, Art, delivered with a heart of a service. One can’t go, without the other.
Outside of what I call work, I really do enjoy quiet moments. Last year, I came up to visit an old friend, whom I kept on returning to, on various stages of my life. She goes by the name, Baguio. As much as I would like to say that we grew up together, well, we didn’t. I’m just a visitor, who enjoys her company. Just like the thousands of travelers who marvel at her unique, cool and comforting beauty.
On a morning just like any other, ย I skipped hitting the snooze button on our alarm, and decided to chase the sun rise. Chilly? Yes. To the bones, actually. But nothing compared to the joy, of seeing cold and warm, slowly getting along as the morning broke open. ๐
Today, I share one morning with you.ย There’s more than one way to see the same morning. But the only way to do it is to show up.:)
Starting June 2017, These warm pieces will be available at Mt. Cloud Bookshop, Casa Vallejo, Upper Session Road Baguio City. Come and stop by the shop. Share a morning to a friend or loved one, by sending warm greetings to their doorsteps. ๐
Touch a life, or maybe two? ๐ hehe. Enjoy!
