Pam & Miguel
Let’s Time Travel! Pam & Miguel asked to have their couple photoshoot at the place where they met each other: San Beda College of Law. And as we walked through the halls of their school, I could sense them reminiscing about the years when they just met. Although this is not my first time inside the campus, it is my first time to have a photoshoot here. We had our shoot in between 3:00-5:00 PM on a sunny Saturday, where we walked ( and pretty much laughed) the afternoon away. Although it has been months since the time of this portrait session, I can still remember how these two greeted…

Getting to Know Julie
These days, I feel I miss flying. But, dwelling on such does not really make things better…flying in good memories does! By now, my niece Julie is six. We met in Singapore when she was less than a year old, and then, time flew! It’s a good thing we spent time together, to collect evidence about how the Lord loves her. Now we’ve actually got something to cherish and look back at. Lovely parents, Leo and Wanying with Julie. Met my cousin Leo on my Grand parent’s Golden Wedding, Anniversary… when I was six! We were rehearsing to a cousin-group performance of “Getting to Know You” from the movie, “The…

Family Portraits with PJ, AI and Ava
I’ve been looking at some of my hard drives lately, and while I’ve pressed the “pause” button for quite a number of kids, (my nephews and nieces included), it is also a blessing to see them grow. I have also been taking life cues from the plants I have been caring for (thus, the layout with leaves) — hehehe. And what I’ve learnt is that, it’s always a joy to see beginnings and and celebrating life as it blooms. A family of three may be a tiny unit, but if you treat every person you meet as somebody’s dream realized, creating moments for them then becomes a deeper experience. They…

Olivia’s Portraits as a Flower Girl | Chapters at Home
Hello! It’s me! 🙂 I’ve been doing my photo series “Chapters at Home” for about six months now, and so far the journey has been life giving. Why? Because through these sessions, we get to spend time together with clients, who inspite of the pandemic, are letting hope rule in their heart, by constantly looking for ways to count blessings. Through these portrait sessions, I always am reminded of the verse “Perfect Love casts out fear.” Olivia is now a year older, from the first time we met, at her baptism. I got to meet her, in a new role (chapter), that this year has offered her — as a…

Atara Turns 3 | Chapters at Home
A whole new world— Indeed! Sometimes I find myself wondering about how to tell my tiny friends like Atara (3YO), about this season, where Covid-19 seem to have robbed a lot of families of good memories. But, what I’ve learned is that accepting the situation does not mean defeat. It means, “okay-and?”. This is exactly what happened when we had Atara’s birthday portraits. Her parents, Ashby and Josh, were determined to make sure that Atara’s heart will be filled with loads of laughter, so they were preparing a home-based virtual party where Atara’s friends were invited on Zoom. 🙂 Isn’t that inspiring? 🙂 To celebrate her special day, we had…

At Home with the Sisons | Family Portraits
Laughter is the best heirloom. 🙂 Our family shoots are actually available all year round. But it is during the holidays when shoots like these are most remembered and appreciated. Although there are more ways these days to stay in touch with family, there is that one that that cannot yet be replaced — it’s the family noise! The funny banters between siblings, cousins, husband and wife, grand parents and grand children, is something that is unique to every family. The familiarity of course… allows for these kinds of funny exchanges to be totally and absolutely necessary. And I just love how, priceless moments, captured in stills will be reminding…

Anna and Chris | Baguio Portrait Session
“Collect moments, not things. “ Venue: Baguio City, Oh My Gulay Shoot: Portrait Session with Chris and Anna 🙂 The gift of the pause is given to those who seek it. Everybody is busy. Somehow, someway, we always find more stuff to occupy our days. Urgent, non-urgent, important, not important. We have mental sorting boxes for tasks, that… never get sorted out or done anyway. Yet, everyday, by the grace of God, opens up fresh, and full of possibilities. Looking ahead, looking forward and at the same time… dreaming and yet moving. Another day, is another story to tell. Anna and Chris opened a new chapter as husband and wife. Their…

Phoebe turns Seven | A Royal Birthday Bash!
I first met Phoebe during the baptism of her younger brother, David a few years back. I remember her being quiet and shy then. This year, she returns with her whole family in front of our camera, once again giving us the opportunity to share moments in their family’s history together,  as she celebrates her 7th birthday! Meet, Princess Phoebe 🙂 She had a royal birthday bash at Max’s where she dressed up as a winter princess, and actually had two more princesses as her special guests. Can you guess who? hehehe… Who else but, Princess Elsa and Princess Anna from the movie Frozen 🙂 Enjoy the Photos! Thanks again…

Fruits and Roots | Bendicion Family Home Coming Shoot
I often get to photograph young families. From newly married brides and grooms transitioning into first time parents, we celebrate milestones together. But I must say, it is also very heart warming to see children come home and catch up with their parents. With numerous opportunities opening up all across the globe, sometimes, having a complete family photo becomes close to impossible. Yet, there are those, who are able to make it work! Like the Bendicion Family. With the news that one of the siblings was coming home to the Philippines, they opted to take time out of their own schedules to be, with each other. Now united under one…

Hey It’s Dylan! | Ascott Hotel Makati
One thing I really enjoy about photographing families is that it’s always a lovely riot! There’s that neat portion when everyone is on pause and posed, but, chasing spontaneous and candid moments also add a lot of energy into the session. Dindi and Mark decided to celebrate their first year of life with Dylan through a photoshoot. While editing, I still found myself laughing loud, being reminded about the day of the shoot. Dylan’s cousins, uncles, aunties and grandparents were also there to share moments with them. How nice to be in the position of writing about this little boy through photos, and contributing precious moments to their family’s history.…
