Moms of Mary Grace: A Baby Shower Story
For a cafe that is highly frequented by many adorable Titas, Mary Grace truly becomes a venue of choice for intimate celebrations. From Baby Showers, Birthdays and even just a regular “Tita-Kits”, Mary Grace is able to make our ordinary days a little more special. Rica’s family, secretly came together and arranged a baby shower for her, to welcome their newest family member — Baby Raya! “The venue is already pretty, we just have to bring the party!” said her sister Cara. And as a photographer, I do agree ๐ It’s also my happy place! Filipino families really love taking group pictures together, while waiting for the celebrant. ๐ This…

Baptism of Lucas | Christ the King Greenmeadows
Lately, I’ve been serving clients who are flying in for the holidays, to be reunited with their Philippine-based family members. This to me, makes my work even more meaningful because I get to collect and preserve precious moments for families who will also be creating new roots, abroad. They could have had the baptism ceremony held at their new home town (abroad), but they particularly chose to back to share the journey with their parents and loved ones. Such Time Travelers! ๐ Meet Lucas! I too am part of a generation, who has cousins who are now residing abroad. Thanks to social media platforms, we still get to stay in…

Pili’s Baptismal Day | Mt. Carmel Shrine
It was raining so hard in Manila during the week of this photoshoot. But, by God’s grace the baptism of Pili pushed through and all of us attendees got showered with the warmth of friends and family members coming together to celebrate. The baptism was held at Mt. Carmel Shrine in New Manila, at 9AM. Parents Pam and Miguel invited their best friends to become the God Parents of Pili. Big brother Manu was also celebrating his birthday, and for the reception, it was a super-fun double celebration ( I this reserved for another post, coming soon!). Even if it rained, the plants around the baptistry made our occasion even…

Atara Turns 3 | Chapters at Home
A whole new world— Indeed! Sometimes I find myself wondering about how to tell my tiny friends like Atara (3YO), about this season, where Covid-19 seem to have robbed a lot of families of good memories. But, what I’ve learned is that accepting the situation does not mean defeat. It means, “okay-and?”. This is exactly what happened when we had Atara’s birthday portraits. Her parents, Ashby and Josh, were determined to make sure that Atara’s heart will be filled with loads of laughter, so they were preparing a home-based virtual party where Atara’s friends were invited on Zoom. ๐ Isn’t that inspiring? ๐ To celebrate her special day, we had…

Lucia’s First Christmas | Family Portraits
OH, Hello Lucia! Months really do seem like days. ๐ The belly that I once knew, is now a cute curly top named Lucia who just celebrated her first Christmas! She has made their filled with lots of new experiences, adventures, singing and yes, sleepless nights ^___^. Len and AL shared that they have become used to caring for Lucia by the time we came together for our Christmas shoot. ๐ Our pregnancy shoot had some window shots too, so we updated that moment with Lucia ๐ One day, she’ll definitely remember, that we celebrated her littleness, this way. ๐ In the middle of our shoot, I asked if Len…

Tala’s Baptism at Sacred Heart Parish Shrine
During the GCQ, we had a chance to be able to welcome Tala to the Christian World. Even if a lot of protocols are already being observed at the church, and things do seem a lot different from how we did things before, we may still be comforted by the thought that Jesus is the same everywhere. He hears us, wherever, and whenever we pray. Even in our silence, He is there. It is my first time to see my “home-court” in five months. This is where I go to mass ever since I was little. Sitting near the front pews while waiting for my friends Francis and Bea, never…

At Home with the Sisons | Family Portraits
Laughter is the best heirloom. ๐ Our family shoots are actually available all year round. But it is during the holidays when shoots like these are most remembered and appreciated. Although there are more ways these days to stay in touch with family, there is that one that that cannot yet be replaced — it’s the family noise! The funny banters between siblings, cousins, husband and wife, grand parents and grand children,ย is something that is unique to every family. The familiarity of course… allows for these kinds of funny exchanges to be totally and absolutely necessary. And I just love how, priceless moments, captured in stills will be reminding…

Anna and Chris | Baguio Portrait Session
“Collect moments, not things. “ Venue: Baguio City, Oh My Gulay Shoot:ย Portrait Session with Chris and Anna ๐ The gift of the pause is given to those who seek it.ย Everybody is busy. Somehow, someway, we always findย more stuff to occupy our days. Urgent, non-urgent, important, not important. We have mental sorting boxes for tasks, that… never get sorted out or done anyway. Yet, everyday, by the grace of God, opens up fresh, and full of possibilities. Looking ahead, looking forward and at the same time… dreaming and yet moving. Another day, is another story to tell.ย Anna and Chris opened a new chapter as husband and wife. Their…
