Sofia’s Birthday Bash | Relish Hello Happiness

Small events are becoming widely popular lately because families really just want to get together and make good memories. Often times, these happen when a member of the family is celebrating their birthday. For the Medina Family, this occasion is a double celebration. Sofia, their youngest member has just been baptized at the time of this photoshoot, and they decided to celebrate it in Quezon City, at pretty and cozy restaurant in Tomas Morato called, Relish Hello Happiness.

The Family reserved a room, and for a few hours, they were able to spend time with each other, while sharing in the feast that has been prepared. The children enjoyed playing in the room while the grown ups were able to exchange stories (and banters), like lovely Filipino siblings would. I feel honored to be witnessing these exchanges and interactions, as my heart is filled with joy too. I too am personally reminded that spending time with family is a subtle but important blessing as well.

Thoughts and musings about this shoot:

Quality Time: There are families whose schedules are a bit more regular, that they can go spend time together every single Sunday of the year. If yours is like this, please do take time to appreciate and enjoy it, whether there is a special event or not.
Reserve a Private Room: The advantage of having a private room is that the family will be able to focus on having fun and enjoying each other’s company, without having to worry about other guests of the restaurants. This too is advantageous when having a photographer to come, so that other guests will not be disturbed as well.
Interiors: Because the restaurant is already pretty, we were able to create photos without having to add any props or styling. But the cake created by the bunny baker is really cute too! (Tap and zoom the photos again to see the details of the cake).
Food Pictures: Whenever I get to watch dramas on Netflix (Kdramas), I notice how I become elated when they expose or feature food shots in their shows. I feel drawn to them. They are anchors to good memories for me. And so, as much as I can, I want to keep a memory of them too. For this place, I’ve come back for more than four times already, bringing my own family and friends because, Relish, has become a happy place for me as well, Go QC!l 🙂
