Sam’s Ballerina Birthday Bash | M Studio, Paseo de Magallanes
I’ve been reading up on making memories and it’s becoming more and more sentimental as I go deep into it. You’ve gotta be – paying attention – in order to receive that information or experience; You’ve got to be in some form of “listening” in order to record these moments properly. At the same time you’ve gotta keep on “writing” so that you’ll have something to hold on to, and to re-use, review, replicate or revisit for as long as you want to. However, I also got into pondering, why are some memories, louder or more memorable than others? — Because, the people behind it, intentionally made it happen.
Allen and Ruby are in the birthday parties business too. And though they may have “seen it all” so to speak, they still managed to find a way to make Samantha’s party extra special. How? Through the gift of experience. I love it! All of Sam’s family friends and guests were treated to a fun morning at M Studio at Paseo de Magallanes, where they had a ballet class. While kids would be normally just watching the birthday show or listening to the event host, just for Sam’s birthday, the kids, have become…the show. They actually co-wrote Sam’s birthday story as they danced along with her.
I won’t hold you any longer, so excited to have shared these moments with Sam and her beautiful family. 🙂
Enjoy the Photos!

I got a nice message from the birthday family. 🙂 Aww so blessed.
“Have you ever looked at a picture and felt a sudden wave of emotion so overwhelming you cry? Looking at Sam’s 4th birthday photos, I see the essence of her childhood. Her carefree smile perfectly captured I can almost hear her laugh. The twinkle in her eyes full of mischievous antics and the look of concentration on her face that is just too adorable.
Thank you, Lai for beautifully encapsulating the moments that are special to us. The personal touch you put is very much appreciated. We are beyond grateful for the precious and irreplaceable moments you have beautifully captured. These are what separate a snapshot from a photograph.❤️”” – Ruby Abaya-Dorado
