Tala’s Baptism at Sacred Heart Parish Shrine
During the GCQ, we had a chance to be able to welcome Tala to the Christian World. Even if a lot of protocols are already being observed at the church, and things do seem a lot different from how we did things before, we may still be comforted by the thought that Jesus is the same everywhere. He hears us, wherever, and whenever we pray. Even in our silence, He is there.
It is my first time to see my “home-court” in five months. This is where I go to mass ever since I was little. Sitting near the front pews while waiting for my friends Francis and Bea, never felt more surreal. The cross seemed bigger than I remembered. The ceiling seemed to have given birth to even more details and my jaw starts to drop, even if it’s covered by a face-mask. But more importantly, having to spend a few moments in prayer and thanksgiving was touching. I momentarily forgot about the crisis. And eventually snapped back into reality, that I was in God’s house, and on that day, His favor is upon the family I was photographing. A great miracle, I believe.
